As part of the push to provide a cleaner and more productive chat interface, Microsoft have released an update to the Teams Chat window to start the process of these changes.
Initially, these changes are limited to chat density and how message threads can be collapsed, but I think this is going to be the start of some of the most called for improvements to chat within Microsoft Teams, such as pop-out/multi-window chats.
At the moment I can only spot the small differences in how channel chat messages are controlled and a very slight change in look and feel (notice the shadowed surround to chat threads and I think the width of chats has changed?).
There are more changes in the pipeline to “bring a true professional compact chat layout”. Hopefully these will come sooner than later.
What do you think of the changes, and what further changes are you looking forward to in Microsoft Teams? If you have any questions or comments please either use the comments section below, Tweet me @MikeParker365 or via email blog@mikeparker365.co.uk.
Great Article, with the improvement in chat options like pop-out and multi-window, chats will definitely improve the work environment by making communication easier, this also means that data needs to be well secured else can prove dangerous if leaked worksapp chat ensures the same.
